Travel and Tourism Internship
TRAVEL & TOURISM PROGRAMME
Travel and Tourism InternshipWe can arrange placements in every aspect of the travel and tourism industry.

WORK IN AN HOTEL or GUEST HOUSE
Whatever your experience and level of English, we can arrange a programme to suit your needs.

Hotel placements can be arranged in restaurants, in housekeeping, in catering, or in other aspects of hotel and leisure management. You can choose to work for an international hotel group, a regional group, an independent hotel, or a charming ' Country House' hotel in more rural areas

WORK IN A 'PUB' or RESTAURANT
The 'Pub' is often the social centre of a town or village and working there will give you an instant insight into the people and culture of the area. It's great fun and a perfect way to learn new skills and improve your English at the same time.

Some previous experience is helpful, but not essential and your work could involve any aspect of running a pub. Reasonable English ability would be helpful. Some placements include live-in accommodation, though most involve homestay.

Perhaps you'd like to work in a local restaurant, as a waiter, waitress, or perhaps as a chef? Like the Pub, the local restaurant is a real social centre and this type of work placement is suitable for people with some experience and basic or intermediate language skills.

Placements in pubs and restaurants are invariably in the South of England, in rural communities outside London. Make friends - and tips - in a fun environment!

WORK IN A HOLIDAY CENTRE
Travel and Tourism InternshipEngland has many holiday centres of varying sizes. The concept is similar to hotels, but includes all meals, all entertainment and a wide variety of leisure activities. Usually catering for between 400 and 1,000 guests, they are year round venues and very popular with families and all age groups.

You would probably work in the restaurant or in housekeeping and the staff are usually young and very friendly. This is an ideal way to gain international experience and improve your English. No previous experience is necessary, as full training is provided. Basic English ability is necessary.

In some locations, live-in placements are available and some positions will provide an income from 'tips' or gratuities. This provides a very low cost way to spend time in England. It is quite possible to pay for your entire programme this way and candidates can stay from one month to one year.

WORK IN THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY
Are you interested in Travel ? Perhaps you are studying for, or qualified in some aspects of Travel & Tourism ? If so, this programme offers a variety of opportunities for you to advance your career. These are homestay based opportunities.

You could work in a travel company office and be involved in administration, or customer enquiries, or helping with bookings. There are opportunities in Retail Travel, working with airlines, or working at airports and ferry terminals.

We can also provide some opportunities working in Europe, with UK and European travel companies. Qualifications and previous experience are not always necessary and an intermediate level of English would be helpful.

Please contact us for further details, or to ask if a specific subject is possible.
